All eyes were on Ben Roethlisberger vs Browns in Week 17, but Steelers rookie running back Najee Harris deserves a round of applause for his performance.

Everyone watched as Ben Roethlisberger took to Heinz Field, perhaps for the last time, and racked up one last regular-season victory over the Browns as he improved to 22-1-1 as a starter — apretty fitting end for a quarterback that has owned the Browns since 2004.

Then not to be outdone, T.J. Watt went berserk on the Browns leading the Steelers with four out of a total of nine sacks. He was the first Steelers player with four sacks in one game since Joey Porter had four sacks against Tampa Bay in 2001 to have that many. He now only needs two sacks to become the single-season sack leader in the NFL.

Then there was the performance of Najee Harris. He finally had a career night if you missed it due to the other game highlights. He finally put up the rushing numbers fans had expected of a first-round draft choice. Then in the process, he set a record and added some rookie season highlights. Perhaps he didn’t do it dramatically as Franco did in his rookie season; he has not been a speed demon like Le’Veon Bell was in his rookie season.

He has not played smash-mouth football like the Bus running demolishing defensive players. Although he is just a grinding gritty running back that just plows ahead, refusing to be brought down.
