The Steelers are surprise playoff contestants, and here are four bold predictions for the team’s wildcard matchup with the Chiefs.

It came in a surprise fashion, but the Steelers found a way to creep into the playoffs. It took some help from the Raiders and Jaguars, but now the team can be focused on playing one more game. While the first matchup with the Chiefs this season is something everyone wants to forget, the team gets one more crack at them in the playoffs.

Here are the four bold predictions for the Steelers vs. the Chiefs in the wildcard round of the playoff.

Steelers Gentry gets his first score

The rise of Zach Gentry from late-round bust to quality number two tight end has been quite the story this season. His first two years were unspectacular and filled with lackluster performances, but he seems to have found his niche this season. His blocking has improved, a huge reason why he has seen the field, and he has provided an ok target in the passing game whenever the team needs to check it down.

While Pat Freiermuth should have the better statistical game, I think Gentry finds a way to sneak into the endzone for his first-ever score. There would be no better way for the veteran to cap off his surprisingly good season than to find the endzone in the playoffs. It isn’t anything flashy, but Gentry puts up the first touchdown of the game in the wildcard round off a short pass during the Steelers’ first drive.
