1. DT Jordan Davis, Georgia

I get that Jordan Davis didn’t have elite college production, but I’m willing to give him a pass in this area, as he’s simply one of the most freakish defensive tackle prospects we have ever seen enter the NFL Draft.

At 6’6” and 341 pounds, Davis posted jaw-dropping numbers at the NFL Combine this year — earning a remarkable 4.78 40-yard dash as well as a 99th percentile broad jump (10’3”). It shouldn’t be possible to get this good of an athlete out of a player his size.

His tape backs this up, as Davis explodes off the ball and has the ability to track down the ball carrier near the line of scrimmage with ease. Davis is also an immovable force on the defensive line who goes where he wants to go. Despite playing in a heavy rotation at Georgia, I don’t think he will be limited to being a two-down run-stuffer at the next level.

It’s so easy to see how Davis would fit on the Steelers defensive line, and he could be the anchor in the middle of this defense long after Cameron Heyward retires. Jordan Davis is a cornerstone talent that would immediately make this team better.

If one of these five players is available when the Steelers are on the clock, I really hope they would be willing to hold off on selecting a quarterback in order to get the best player on the board. These five players could be game-changers in the NFL.
