Demarvin Leal, Isaiahh Loudermilk, Cam Heyward, Chris Wormley, Henry Mondeaux, Montravius Adams

While the Steelers have a solid defensive line, there may be some real shakeups this season once the Steelers make final cuts. The biggest lingering question is what will happen with Stephon Tuitt. If he returns, that affects who makes the 53-man roster. If he does not, that alters the defensive landscape quite a bit.

The Steelers have been very cryptic when answering any questions about Tuitt, which might lead many to suspect he may not return. Honestly, fans should not wait for him to return. DeMarvin Leal’s selection all but confirms the Steelers are planning to continue without him.

Tyson Alualu is now the oldest player on the defensive line; do not expect him to survive cuts either. Leal is now the clear number one defensive end with Tuitt out of the picture; thus, the Steelers will go with youth at the defensive end.

Cam Heyward returns on the interior of the defensive line, and it seems he keeps improving every year. It’s hard to say if he can top last year, but the Steelers defensive line will be harder to block with the addition of Leal, perhaps giving Heyward a few extra sacks.
