The Steelers managed to bring back nearly all of their cornerbacks from 2021. The lone exception is Joe Haden. There was never any thought of bringing back Haden, the Steelers knew he was leaving once the season ended, and the Steelers had no desire to bring him back.

Don’t worry; the Steelers do not lose much without him, and the Steelers secondary played well without him in the games he missed in 2021. Fans will not miss Haden at all.

Cam Sutton will return and is certainly the best cover man and cornerback on the Steelers roster, not counting the safeties. Plus, he was probably much better than Joe Haden was in any respect.

It was surprising that the Steelers did not add a corner in the draft, which they might have if they did not have such a hole within the wide receivers. In 2023, a cornerback and safety could possibly be their top two draft choices.

The Steelers may not have the most talented group of corners, but considering the Steelers also brought back their starting safeties as well thus, the cornerbacks should do reasonably well.
