The Steelers never fail to field an excellent linebacker unit. However, while there is much talent, it is, by far, the best squad they have ever assembled. Of course, that assessment depends on how well Devin Bush plays this season.

In 2020 Bush tore his ACL and missed most of the season. While he returned for the 2021 season, nearly everyone agrees he had a mediocre season at best and was far from the linebacker we saw in his rookie year. Thus leading many to surmise he never quite healed from the ACL injury.

Considering the Steelers opted not to pick up his 5th-year option, this could be Bush’s final year in s Steelers uniform unless he has a spectacular season prompting the Steelers to re-sign him.

The player to watch out for is 7th-round draft choice, Mark Robinson. He is a hard-nosed player with good speed; he finished with 42 solo tackles and 91 total tackles, and three sacks. He has a lot of potential, and it will not be surprising to see him make the final cut.

Also, Myles jack was the free agent from Jacksonville, and he should be an immediate upgrade from Joe Shobert.
