Linebackers (5):

Myles Jack, Devin Bush, Robert Spillane, Marcus Allen, Buddy Johnson, Mark Robinson

Whether you like it or not, Devin Bush is set to play a huge role with the Steelers again in 2022. Being another year removed from his ACL tear and with more experience under his belt, fans hope they can see a big improvement.

Joining him in the starting lineup will be former Jaguars second-round pick, Myles Jack. Jack has had some good seasons in the past but graded out poorly in 2021. Regardless of their recent lackluster performances, these two probably aren’t going to leave the field often.

Behind Jack and Bush, Robert Spillane appears to be the front-runner to resume his role as the team’s third off-ball linebacker. Spillane has been a solid special teams player in the past and can come in and help out in obvious run situations. Marcus Allen slots in just after him for his special teams ability and sub-package work.

I have two young guys making the roster in second-year player Buddy Johnson and rookie Mark Robinson. This has less to do with the talent of these two individuals and more to do with the unspectacular play of linebackers that made the team last year. I have Johnson and Robinson beating out Ulysees Gilbert for the final LB spot on the team.
