The Pittsburgh Steelers look to avoid a 1-3 start as they face the New York Jets on Sunday. Here are the best bets you can make for this Week 4 contest.

This Week 4 matchup isn’t one that’s going to catch a lot of attention from the national NFL media. With a star-studded game also going on at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time this Sunday with the Bills facing the Ravens, most of the national audience will tune into that event. However this Steelers vs Jets game quietly has huge implications for the rest of the season.

Mike Tomlin is looking to avoid a 1-3 start in Week 4. This is a game his team is certainly capable of winning, but a struggling offense under the direction of QB Mitch Trubisky and OC Matt Canada has been an issue.

For those who are tuning into this contest, why not add a bit more incentive to this game? Last week, we urged betters to take Browns QB Jacoby Brissett with the most passing yards and WR Amari Cooper with the most receiving yards in the Steelers vs Browns matchup. Both of these bets hit. Here are the best bets you can make in the Steelers vs Jets game on Sunday.

Total Points UNDER 41.5 (-110)

If you take away the Minkah Fitzpatrick pick-six in Week 1 against the Bengals, the Steelers are averaging just 15.6 points per game. Their games have hit the under in the point total in two of three weeks so far, and they were just a few fluky plays from doing so against the Browns last week. Meanwhile, the New York Jets are scoring just 17.3 points per content. This will be a slugfest with two bad offenses, and the point total is currently set at 41.5, via Fanduel Sportsbook. We are hammering the under again this week.

Diontae Johnson Anytime TD Scorer (+155)

Diontae Johnson doesn’t yet have a touchdown in the 2022 season, but he’s certainly overdue for one. While the passing offense has been stagnant, Johnson has been a consistent go-to option for Mitch Trubisky. In his first three contests, he has collected 33 targets — never earning fewer than 10 in a game so far this year. Based on his heavy usage, it’s a worthwhile gamble to think that Johnson could come down with a touchdown this week against the Jets. We like him to do so at +155 odds.

Pittsburgh Steelers Moneyline (-172)

We had the Steelers moneyline last week against the Browns, but things didn’t go according to plan. In Week 4, we feel much more confident that this will be the case. Despite a struggling offense, Mike Tomlin had 10 days to prepare his team to face the Jets. Meanwhile, New York is making an early-season QB change with Zach Wilson returning to health, but the 23-year-old was inconsistent as a rookie and will need to shake off the rust. We like the Steelers moneyline this week.
