The Pittsburgh Steelers need a win against the New Orleans Saints in Week 10 to keep their season alive. Here are the best bets you can make for this contest.

Week 10 could prove to be the end of the road for either the Pittsburgh Steelers or their opponent, the New Orleans Saints. Mike Tomlin’s team sits on a dreaded 2-6 record, while the Saints can ill-afford to fall to 3-7 on the season.

These two teams have been thoroughly underwhelming this year, but one of them is going to prevail on Sunday. Despite the Saints being favored in this contest, the 3-point line has since tightened to just 1.5 points prior to game day. This could be due to the fact that New Orleans struggled mightily against the Ravens in their most recent game.

The Steelers do hold an advantage in this contest as well. They have had two weeks to prepare for the Saints, and Mike Tomlin is 11-4 all-time coming off a bye week. Meanwhile, the opposition is coming off a Monday night loss with just a few days to prepare for a road game. Here are the best bets you can make for the Steelers vs Saints in Week 10:

Best Steelers Bets Week 10

Steelers OVER 1.5 Total Touchdowns (-215)

Pittsburg’s offense is among the worst in the NFL as they exit their bye week. Up to this point, the team has averaged just 15.0 points per game — good for 31st in the NFL, via Team Rankings. While we haven’t been given a lot of reason to believe things will improve under Matt Canada, we do feel that scoring two touchdowns is very attainable in this game.

The Saints have the 28th-ranked scoring defense that has allowed over 25 points per game this year. With two weeks to recuperate and prepare for New Orleans, we expect Pittsburgh’s offense against a susceptible opponent this week to look a bit stronger than it has in the past. At -215 odds, via DraftKings Sportsbook, this isn’t a great payout, but we believe there’s a great chance the Steelers score at least two touchdowns in this contest.

Kenny Pickett OVER 222.5 Passing Yards (-115)

The Steelers passing yards numbers have been all over the place since Kenny Pickett took over at quarterback. In his four starts, he’s had as many as 327 yards and as few as 67, per ESPN stats (of course, the latter was the result of an injury). Assuming Pickett stays on the field, it’s hard to imagine him getting fewer than 222.5 passing yards. We like him to do so at -115 odds this week against the Saints.

Steelers +1.5 Moneyline (+105)

From the beginning of the week, we encouraged fans to take the Steelers moneyline during our betting preview. The payout would have been bigger back then, but this is still a quality gamble. Contrary to the narrative, Mike Tomlin is actually very good after a bye week — going 11-4 all-time and winning his last five games after a bye.

In 2022, Tomlin will face a very underwhelming opponent led by familiar quarterback, Andy Dalton. Knowing what’s on the line and with the return of T.J. Watt, we believe the Steelers should actually be favored in this game. We like Pittsburgh’s moneyline at +105 odds.
