There might not be much to play for down the stretch, but here are the best bets you can place for the Pittsburgh Steelers vs Carolina Panthers in Week 15.

Regardless of how things play out on Sunday, this might be the least stressful Week 15 game that Pittsburgh Steelers fans will watch in over a decade. Mike Tomlin has never quite been in a situation like this one before, and at 5-8, this team has virtually been eliminated from playoff contention.

This has been a disappointing season for Pittsburgh, to say the least. Yet, this should be a tight road matchup against a comparably bad Carolina Panthers team. If you want to make this game mean a little bit more for you, here are the best bets you can make for Steelers vs Panthers in Week 15:

Best Steelers Bets Week 15

Sam Darnold OVER 0.5 Passing TD (-115)

Last week was the first time all season that Pittsburgh’s defense didn’t allow at least one passing score. However, it took a combination of second and third-string opposing quarterbacks to make that happen. Sam Darnold certainly isn’t a great football player, but he does have a touchdown pass in each of his two starts this year.

Steelers could hang tough in the red zone — forcing the Panthers to punch one in through the air. For this reason, we like Darnold to record a passing touchdown at -115 odds, via DraftKings Sportsbook.

Steelers OVER 17.5 Total Points (-105)

Climbing to over 17 points would have been a major stretch for the Steelers earlier in the year and one we would not feel comfortable betting on. However, Pittsburgh has been an improved team since the bye and has played some suspect opponents. The Panthers this week are no exception.

While we don’t love the shaky quarterback situation for Sunday, Carolina’s defense isn’t elite by any stretch. Assuming they don’t have three turnovers this week, we think they do more than enough to hit the over on this point total.

Steelers Moneyline (+130)

Like it or not (depending on how you are rooting), there’s a very solid chance that the Pittsburgh Steelers come away with this meaningless game against Carolina. The Panthers are still on the divisional race in the NFC South and have more to play for, but they are a pretty bad team in the worst division in football.

We know how much Mike Tomlin cares about his reputation, and his team is going to want to redeem themselves this week. We have Pittsburgh claiming a 20-17 win and at +130 odds, we are taking the Steelers moneyline his week.
