Everyone is still wondering if Aaron Rodgers will join the Pittsburgh Steelers or not this offseason. The veteran quarterback is a free agent for the first time in his career, and he is taking his time to decide where or if he wants to play football in 2025.

The Steelers remain heavy favorites to land the future Hall of Famer if he decides to play this upcoming season. The quarterback position could still be a need, no matter his outcome.

If Rodgers signs with Pittsburgh, they could still need an extra arm to throw the ball at training camp. They like four players at the position when the preseason process arrives.

The United Football League is back, and some interesting gunslingers will participate. Some quarterbacks in the UFL could be perfect options to compete for a roster spot in training camp.

The Steelers could go bargain-shopping for a camp arm.

3 UFL QBs the Pittsburgh Steelers could add before the start of the 2025 season

Max Duggan (St. Louis Battlehawks)

St. Louis remains one of the best cities supporting the UFL during the early days of spring football. They love football, but their local team can't find a successor to A.J. McCarron.

Both Max Duggan and Manny Wilkins are co-starters. It will be interesting to see how they solve their quarterback competition as their season progresses.

It appears Duggan is the favorite.

For those who might recognize the name, Duggan was the starting quarterback for the TCU Horned Frogs when they had a deep run in the college football playoffs.

They got obliterated by Georgia in the Championship game, but Duggan had a big season. He was a seventh-round pick in that draft, but a second chance with the UFL could land him a job with Pittsburgh.

Anthony Brown (Houston Roughnecks)

Mike Tomlin spoke about wanting mobility in his quarterback, and Anthony Brown would fit that mold. He is an interesting player heading into this UFL season.

He has a solid arm and legs to balance out his dual-threat ability. Brown started his college career at Boston College before transferring to Oregon during his final two years of college football.

Brown's best season happened in 2021 when he took over as Oregon's starting quarterback. He produced 2,989 passing yards and a touchdown-interception difference of 18-7.

Brown also had a strong season on the ground, compiling 658 rushing yards and nine touchdowns. Brown will start for the Houston Roughnecks and could be an interesting camp invite for the Steelers.

Kellen Mond (San Antonio Brahmas)

Kellen Mond might be the perfect guy if Pittsburgh still needs a quarterback after the UFL season.

Mond is a former third-round pick of the Minnesota Vikings during the 2021 NFL draft. They dropped him quickly after they didn't see enough from him.

Many thought Mond had a lot of upside coming out of college, but that never materialized. He was just named the starting quarterback of the San Antonio Brahmas. It is a huge opportunity to regain some significance in the NFL world.

If this signal-caller fails to tear up the UFL competition, his chances of returning to the highest rank are non-existent.

The Steelers met with Mond during the pre-draft process, which isn't something to scoff at. They like to bring on board players they have expressed previous draft interest in and those with high draft pedigree. Mond could be a perfect camp arm to push for a roster spot.
