The Pittsburgh Steelers picked up their second straight win in comeback fashion the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 26-19 in overtime on Sunday. Pittsburgh trailed 16-3 heading into the fourth quarter but rallied to take the lead late in the game. Tampa Bay answered with a field goal as time expired to force overtime, but the Steelers ultimately came out on top.

With the win, Pittsburgh secured its first road victory of the 2026 season and won back-to-back games for the first time this year. Here are three standouts from the Steelers' comeback victory over the Buccaneers.

4 standouts who were the catalyst for the Pittsburgh Steelers Week 6 win

Rookie Germie Bernard continues to make an impact

For the second straight week, rookie Germie Bernard stepped up when the Steelers needed him most. With Michael Pittman and Roman Wilson on IR, and Ben Skowronek out, Bernard was relied upon to take on a bigger role in Pittsburgh's passing game. Despite a costly rookie mistake on a fourth-down catch that saw him run backward and lose valuable yardage, Bernard bounced back in a big way.

He ultimately scored the game-winning touchdown in overtime to seal the Steelers' 26-19 victory over Tampa Bay. The rookie wide receiver finished the day with 11 catches for 87 yards and a touchdown, continuing to prove he can be a reliable option for Pittsburgh's offense

DK Metcalf delivers when the Steelers need him most

DK Metcalf, one of the highest-paid wide receivers in the NFL, has been a major disappointment for the Steelers so far this season. With Pittsburgh's receiving corps depleted by injuries, Metcalf needed to step up and prove he could be the team's No. 1 option.

After a quiet first half, he came alive in the second half, making several key catches to keep drives alive and help fuel Pittsburgh's comeback alongside rookie Germie Bernard. Metcalf finished the game with 11 catches for 93 receiving yards, delivering a much-needed performance as the Steelers rallied to defeat the Buccaneers in overtime.

Jamel Dean shines in his return to Tampa Bay

Jamel Dean was one of the Steelers' biggest free-agent signings this offseason, joining Pittsburgh on a three-year, $36.75 million contract after spending seven seasons in Tampa Bay and winning a Super Bowl with the Buccaneers. Sunday's matchup marked his first game back in Tampa Bay wearing a different uniform, and he made his return count.

Dean played a major role in Pittsburgh's comeback, intercepting a pass with 1:43 remaining and returning it 40 yards to the Buccaneers' 3-yard line. The turnover set up a field goal that gave the Steelers their first lead of the game. Dean also finished with six pass deflections, delivering a huge performance against his former team and helping Pittsburgh secure a win.

Jalen Ramsey seals the win and proves he’s still an elite player

Jalen Ramsey was making plays all over the field from the opening kickoff, recording an early sack and playing a key role in limiting Bucky Irving after the running back's monster performance against the Cowboys the previous week. Ramsey saved his biggest moment for overtime, getting to the quarterback on a fourth-and-8 to record his second sack of the game and seal the Steelers' victory.

He finished with two sacks and four tackles for loss, an absurd stat line for a defensive back and a reminder that Ramsey can still make a major impact on the defensive side of the ball.
