Regardless of your feelings on Aaron Rodgers, this is the quarterback who will be leading the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2025. And if we're being honest with ourselves, he gives them a better shot to win this year than the remaining options out there. On Tuesday, Rodgers participated in the Steelers' mandatory minicamp. This also means that we got our very first look at the veteran quarterback in a Steelers uniform.

The NFL's official X account posted a few pictures of Rodgers during his first Steelers minicamp session, and let's just say, he looks good in the white and gold practice jersey.

If you had asked football fans three or four years ago what they would think about Aaron Rodgers in a Pittsburgh Steelers uniform, they would have laughed at the idea of this happening. But what was once a pipe dream became a reality.

Sure, it happened several years later than we would have liked. It would have been glorious to see the Steelers have an effortless transition from Ben Roethlisberger in 2021 to Rodgers in 2022 and beyond, but doing so would have cost this franchise an arm and a leg (as the New York Jets know full well).

Like it or not, Aaron Rodgers is the quarterback Pittsburgh Steelers fans must root for this year

There were arguments to be made from both sides of the fence on whether singing Rodgers was the right decision. Half of the Pittsburgh Steelers fanbase wanted this organization to focus on the future and roll with Mason Rudolph (or even rookie Will Howard) for the 2025 season. By doing so, the Steelers theoretically could have wound up with a high draft pick and taken a stab at a franchise quarterback with a top pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Meanwhile, the rest of the fanbase would argue that players like T.J. Watt and Cam Heyward are in the final prime years and that this team needed to take the biggest swing they could for a chance to win this season. We're hopeful that this is what Rodgers will help the Steelers do this year.

Like it or not, Rodgers is the quarterback at the helm this year, and knowing this organization, it's going to result in nothing less than another non-losing season. Because of this, we might as well get on the same page and hope that the best version of Rodgers—or whatever that can be at this stage of his career—returns for the 2025 season to aid the Steelers in a deep playoff run.

And it's not like there isn't a single reason to like Rodgers. Though it took him all offseason to sign his contract with Pittsburgh, the 41-year-old is participating in the Steelers' mandatory minicamp, and on Monday, he showed up to support Cam Heyward by participating in his charity golf event. Meanwhile, Myles Garrett's recent fighting words directed at Rodgers gave fans and players alike reason to rally behind their new quarterback.

This is the guy who will be wearing the black and gold in 2025. Let's at least try to get excited about it.
