We are only three weeks into the regular season of the NFL, and George Pickens has already lost his cool on the Dallas Cowboys. The former Pittsburgh Steelers receiver spent time on the sideline during Dallas's game on Sunday, throwing a tantrum. He never found a way to consistently deliver a strong showing on the field. It was a scene Steelers Nation is all too familiar with.

Pickens was known for being a toxic personality in the locker room, which ultimately led to his trade from the Steelers. Yes, the Cowboys "won" that trade on paper since Pickens has a ton of talent, but they could also lose that deal in time. He isn't an ideal teammate, and a first-year head coach may struggle to manage his personality. It could be the beginning of the end.

Having a begrudging player as a top playmaker on offense could come back to bite Dallas.

Yes, Pickens has all the talent in the world, but there is a reason why Pittsburgh refused to extend him with a massive contract. They couldn’t trust him, which ultimately led to his being traded. The Cowboys got their first taste of the true Pickens during their game against the Chicago Bears this past weekend.

Pittsburgh Steelers former WR George Pickens has already thrown a hissy fit

It was a frustrating day for Dallas as they went on to lose their game 31-14 against the Bears. Pickens was seen smashing his helmet on the sideline after a dropped pass led to a Dak Prescott interception. He repeatedly bashed his "star" labeled helmet onto the ground out of frustration. While he hasn't been abysmal to start the season, he hasn't produced the same numbers that he did in Pittsburgh.

The Steelers and their fan base won't be shocked by these actions. Pickens has done it countless times before. Those in Dallas should only use this as a precursor of what's to come. He is a player who cares only about himself and the kind of production he can deliver. Dallas had better be mindful of offering a contract extension because Pickens could cause it to blow up in their faces.

It hasn't been a terrible start to the season for Pickens during his first campaign in Dallas. He has produced respectable numbers as their second target on offense. He wants the ball, and things could escalate further on the sideline if he doesn't feel his number is getting called enough.

CeeDee Lamb was out for most of the game against Chicago, but Pickens failed to pick up the slack.

Without Lamb in the lineup, many thought Pickens would have a bigger role on offense. He failed to produce much during the contest. He gained 68 yards off five receptions and one touchdown. While that isn't anything to scoff at, many thought he would get more through the air. It was a game where the Cowboys failed to accomplish much, and that led to Pickens blowing a fuse.
