After the Pittsburgh Steelers were humiliated by the Houston Texans in an embarrassing 30-6 defeat in the Wild Card round of the NFL Playoffs, their shot at redemption couldn't come fast enough.

Now we know exactly when they can get their chance at revenge.

The latest NFL schedule leak from OzzyNFL notes that the Steelers will host the Texans on Sunday Night Football in Week 13. Apart from this matchup coming roughly a month earlier than it did in 2025, this is almost the exact same setting we saw end with a debilitating playoff loss for Pittsburgh.

After the Steelers snuck into the playoffs with a dramatic Week 18 win over the Ravens, they hosted the Texans for a night game at Acrisure Stadium. But despite a shaky performance from quarterback CJ Stroud—and three takeaways from Pittsburgh's defense—Houston beat the brakes off Pittsburgh in a 24-point victory.

The Steelers will get their shot at redemption in 2026... and you can bet the players have this game circled.

The Pittsburgh Steelers must put up a better fight against the Houston Texans in 2026

The Texans are known for their outstanding defense, and that's not going away this year. Not only did they retain all of their defensive stars, but they also added Ohio State defensive tackle Kayden McDonald to the middle of their defense in the NFL Draft.

Still, it's hard to imagine the Steelers' offense playing worse against the Texans than they did in the Wild Card round. In that game, quarterback Aaron Rodgers completed just 17 of 33 passes for a mere 146 yards (4.4 yards per attempt) and an interception, while taking four sacks. He earned a dismal 14.9 QBR in this contest.

Meanwhile, DK Metcalf had just two receptions on five targets. He was the only receiver who earned more than 26 yards in this contest.

We don't know how things will go this time around, but it's safe to assume the Pittsburgh Steelers will put up a better fight. This anticipated SNF contest will take place on December 6 at 8:20 pm ET on NBC and Peacock.
