NFL Top 100 rankings may have revealed painful Steelers snub

This is a bad sign for Zach Frazier's chances of making the cut.

We've reached that time of year again: The NFL Top 100 list—a ranking of the league's best players, voted on by the players—is being slowly released from 100 to 1. Over the years, the Pittsburgh Steelers have had numerous representatives, with players like T.J. Watt and Cameron Heyward as staples of the list.

However, the latest rankings just revealed a harsh reality for Steelers center Zach Frazier.

On Thursday, the NFL revealed the No. 94 player on the list: Kansas City Chiefs center Creed Humphrey. And if Humphrey was only voted on as the 94th-best player in the league, this is a terrible sign of Frazier's chances of making his first appearance on the list.

Pittsburgh Steelers center Zach Frazier likely to be snubbed from NFL Top 100 after Creed Humphrey ranking

Let's get something straight: when it comes to pure talent with respect to their position, there aren't 93 players better than Humphrey in the NFL. The perennial All-Pro center has been arguably the best center in the NFL since entering the league in the 2021 NFL Draft.

In 2025, Humphrey graded out as the No. 1 center in the NFL for the third time in his career with an 88.8 overall grade, according to Pro Football Focus.

But if Humphrey is this low, it almost certainly means Frazier didn't make the cut.

While there may be a few centers better than Frazier in the NFL right now, he's not far behind. In his second season in 2025, Frazier proved to be a bulldozer in the running game and a stable anchor in pass protection. His performance netted him the 6th-best PFF grade among centers last year.

Of the building blocks on the Steelers' roster, Frazier is among the best. But his time to crack the NFL Top 100 likely won't come this year.

The league still has over 90 players to unveil, but these spots will quickly get scooped up by more popular players—those who are multi-time Pro Bowlers and All-Pros.

And let's face it: it's not exactly popular for the players to vote on a high number of offensive linemen to crack the list.

Frazier is even better on the field than his 73.8 overall PFF grade would suggest. He's going to be a cornerstone to a Pittsburgh offensive line that has had a fantastic track record at center over the years. Frazier could follow in the footsteps of Maurkice Pouncey, and nobody will bat an eye if and when he has a remarkable season in 2026.

But for now, with Creed Humphrey ranked as just the No. 94 player, it's safe to assume that Zach Frazier won't crack the NFL Top 100 list this year.
