Many might not follow the UFL closely, but the spring football league will be expanding. They house eight different teams, which are split into two conferences. One conference is called XFL and the other USFL. They are a combined league that was formed for their first season this past spring. As they get ready for their second calendar, they plan on accepting expansion proposals from different cities.
Right now, the plan is to add two teams by the time the 2026 season rolls around, and they could add another additional two clubs in 2027 if all goes according to plan. Spring football has mostly failed throughout various attempts, but the UFL seems to be working out thus far. They are willing to put financial resources into this product with hopes of giving their members NFL opportunities.
UFL expansion city: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Have to include Pittsburgh on the list of possible expansion locations. The Steelers might dominate the sports world in Pittsburgh, but the Maulers have had several spring league stints. The groundwork to form another football team in the Steel City is already there. No one in Pittsburgh will forget about the Steelers, but it could have room for more football during the spring season.
UFL expansion city: Las Vegas, Nevada
Why not keep spring football in Las Vegas? The Sin City held a team with the XFL in different stints, so the connection is already there. Vegas is a growing sports town, and it could be a prime destination for many players looking for a rebound. If the UFL would return to Las Vegas, then they would be wise to find a better playing location as their previous spot made things look unqualified for professional sports.

UFL expansion city: Orlando, Florida
Florida has plenty of NFL teams, but Orlando is empty besides college football. They have some good facilities there already, so this might be a wise choice. Neither the XFL nor USFL held teams in Orlando before they formed the UFL, but the city hosted a spring league before. Perhaps it would be wise to turn towards this market and take advantage of the spring weather in Florida.
UFL expansion city: Los Angeles, California
It seems like the goal would be expanding to Los Angeles at some point in time for the UFL. The XFL had a team there on a couple of different occurrences. They could tap into a large market, especially since both the Rams and Chargers have started to revitalize football in the city. If football interest continues to grow, then you better believe the UFL will do its best to expand a team into that location.
UFL expansion city: Salt Lake City, Utah
They just got a hockey team, so why not keep adding some sports teams to Salt Lake City? They are a growing city, and it has become a bigger market in recent years. It might not be an NFL organization, but many in Utah would certainly welcome a UFL club to their city. They have a couple of professional sports teams now, and adding a UFL franchise would only show off their sports economy more.
UFL expansion city: Seattle, Washington
You could put any past USFL or XFL teams on this list in reality. Seattle had one of the better fan bases for the XFL before they folded. One would have to imagine that the XFL would like to stay away from NFL markets as a whole to increase their reputation, but Seattle was a success. If they are willing to go into a city and share with an NFL team, then Seattle is a safe bet with prior connections.
