Colorblind football fans everywhere are going to be thankful for the decision the Green Bay Packers just made. Though the Packers had the go-ahead to wear their traditional yellow helmets against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday Night Football, they elected for a better option... and everyone should be pleased.
The Steelers are set to unveil their 1933 throwback uniforms on SNF this week. These were made to resemble the original Pittsburgh Steelers team, but the busyness of the jersey, which includes a rush of yellow, has been met with criticism by fans.

This had the potential to get really ugly in Week 8.
Had the Packers chosen to don their yellow helmets, it would have been difficult to separate the two teams on the field—not to mention an aesthetic nightmare for fans in attendance. Now, quarterbacks Aaron Rodgers and Jordan Love won't have to decipher the difference between their wide receivers and the opposing defensive backs on Sunday Night Football.
The Green Bay Packers will wear white color rush uniforms, with the Pittsburgh Steelers sporting throwbacks
Instead of getting a sea of mustard on SNF, fans will easily be able to tell the difference between the players on the field in Week 8. The Packers have elected to go with their all-white color rush uniforms against the Steelers to avoid confusion, the team officially announced on Wednesday.

This was a great decision (and the only right one), as the Steelers will have yellow helmets and jerseys for their first time wearing these 1933 throwbacks.

The Steelers' fanbase hasn't had any trouble making their opinions known about the aesthetics of these uniforms, as the unveiling of the 1933 throwbacks was not well-received. The Packers also have new throwback uniforms this year, but they won't be worn in Week 8.
At the end of the day, most fans don't really care what jerseys the Pittsburgh Steelers are wearing against the Green Bay Packers—they just want their team to win. Thankfully, Mike Tomlin's team avoided a jersey disaster of yellow on the field this week. Still, if the Steelers find a way to pull off the win, it might be hard to do so in style with those questionable 1933 throwbacks.
