The Pittsburgh Steelers are in no position to even be thinking about selecting Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter in the 2025 NFL Draft.
While some fans might wish they finished with a bad enough record to do so (for various reasons) it simply isn't in the cards.
But, Hunter may still end up impacting the Steelers in a big way when it is all said and done.
Recently, Hunter issued a warning to teams interested in drafting him. It was a pretty straightforward warning and, coming from a soon-to-be rookie who has yet to play an NFL down, it was a bold take.
The most intriguing draft prospect of the class told CBS Sports that he will "never" play football again if he's asked to stick to just one side of the ball. He did note that, to this point, he hasn't been asked to do so by any prospective teams. But, he wanted to clear the air and say that he won't be playing if he can't do what he loves to do, and that's dominating on both sides.
"I've been doing it my whole life, and I love being on the football field. I feel like I could dominate on each side of the ball, so I really enjoy doing it," he said.
Steelers fans will undoubtedly laugh the second Travis Hunter slips up
If Hunter goes to the Browns (and it's looking highly likely), then it is only a matter of time before he struggles at some point. He isn't going to be perfect by any means, but can he really play both sides at an elite level and for a long period of time in the NFL?
Call me a cynic, but I don't see it happening. He might be able to do it for a short time, but not for long. And, the moment his play either regresses or doesn't look up to snuff on one side of the ball, Steelers fans will be the ones laughing -- that is, assuming he's in Cleveland.

The irony, here, is that Pittsburgh might also be coming away with Hunter's top teammate in quarterback Shedeur Sanders, who looks more and more like a possibility for the Steelers.
What a world that would be if Sanders was playing against Hunter twice a year and in one of the toughest divisions in football. Count that as drama we'd sign up for.
