It's official: the Pittsburgh Steelers have used all 30 of their allauded pre-draft visits ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft. Wednesday was the last day for NFL clubs to meet with draft prospects, and just hours after it was reported that the Steelers were hosting Penn State cornerback Drew Allar, we learned of their 30th and final visit.
ESPN's Brooke Pryor reported that, along with Allar, Pittsburgh's brass brought in Arizona cornerback Treydan Stukes.
This wasn't the 30 visit fans expected to see. With names like wide receivers Jordyn Tyson, Omar Cooper Jr., and KC Concepcion excluded from the 30-visit list, fans expected one of these talented receivers to earn the final visit. That didn't happen.
Stukes has been gaining steady momentum since a spectacular BFL Combine. Now the Arizona product could be in consideration for the Steelers as early as the second round of the NFL Draft.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are clearly eyeing cornerback on Day 2 after intriguing Treydan Stukes pre-draft visit
At the 2026 NFL Combine, Stukes measured in at 6'1'' and 190 pounds with 31 3/4'' arms. Sukes pairs respectable size with outstanding testing—posting a 4.33 40-yard dash to go with a blazing 1.50 10-yard split, a 38'' vertical jump, and a 10110'' broad jump. His outstanding combination of size and explosiveness earned him a 9.95 Relative Athletic Score among his cornerback peers.
The sixth-year senior at Arizona is coming off his best season, which included 52 tackles, four interceptions, and six passes defended. Stukes does his best work in zone coverage and can play from practically any defensive backfield alignment, including the box or as a nickel cornerback. His versatility will be intriguing to teams.
There's just one big issue—his age.
Because he was forced to redshirt as a freshman and because he played only four games in 2024, Stykes is an old prospect. He's currently 24 and will turn 25 at the start of the NFL season.
This isn't ideal for a team like the Steelers, who are laying the groundwork for their team and hope to find their future quarterback by the 2027 NFL Draft. However, Stukes is coming off a spectacular season, and the team might not be able to pass on him if he's available in the second round.
This seems to be the sweet spot that the Steelers are eyeing for the cornerback position. In addition to Stukes, Omar Khan and Pittsburgh's brass have met with players like Clemson CB Avieon Terrell, South Carolina CB Brandon Cisse, Indiana CB D'Angelo Ponds, Miami CB Keionte Scott, and Arizona State CB Keith Abney II at the NFL Combine.
Steelers fans won't be happy that the team missed out on visiting with a cluster of the top wide receiver prospects this year, but the front office seems determined to land a future starting cornerback early on Day 2 of the NFL Draft.
