Still Curtain Podcast: Are Steelers contenders or pretenders?
In addition to making our playoff predictions in this roundtable discussion, we also answered 'true or false' questions pertaining to Russell Wilson's return in 2025, Najee Harris' future status, and T.J. Watt winning his second Defensive Player of the Year award.
We began the show by discussing the latest Steelers news and the health status of key players like T.J. Watt (ankle) and George Pickens (hamstring) before sharing their notes on the Steelers' disheartening loss against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 15.
Watt suffered a low ankle injury late in Pittsburgh's loss in Philly while Pickens has already missed two games with a hamstring injury and could be in line to miss a third. In Pickens' absence, the Steelers' offense has hit new lows.
Later in the podcast, we broke down Pittsburgh's upcoming pivotal matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. With a win in Week 16, the Steelers would secure the AFC North crown. This would put Mike Tomlin's team two games up on the Ravens with just two weeks to go.
Even if Pittsburgh lost their final two contests, they would own the head-to-head tiebreaker over Baltimore, which means they would be hosting a playoff game in the Wild Card round.
