2. Steelers win AFC North

A division title doesn’t ensure an appearance in the Super Bowl. However, It lightens the burden of the playoffs. In 2022, all four teams in the AFC North finished the year with a 3-3 divisional record. The Steelers were disappointed with their positioning in the standings but remained relevant. They showed the division lacks a sole owner. Wins against divisional opponents are essential for Mike Tomlin's squad this year. It will allow the franchise a chance to compete in the post-season - where they can create real magic.

1. Kenny Pickett throws 30 touchdowns

Matt Canada's offense will be under the microscope this year. In 2022, the Steelers ranked 16th in offensive rating. They struggled to move the ball downfield. Enough so, Kenny Pickett became the starter. He learned the offense on the fly and kept the season alive. If the Steelers want to win games this year, their quarterback has to find the endzone.

Pickett only threw nine touchdowns in the last campaign. It was enough to win nine games but left the offense in tough situations. We can expect his total to increase in the upcoming weeks. Ben Roethlisberger reached his career-high season touchdown total (34) in 2018. Penny Picket should aim to reel in at least 30 of his own to carry the Steelers into the playoffs this year.

The Steelers have high expectations for the 2023 season. They've worked hard during the off-season, and it's time to prove it on the field. Goals are things we hope to accomplish. Missions are tasks we expect to complete. Winning is a part of the Pittsburgh Steelers culture. These missions will keep the tradition alive.
