1. WR Allen Robinson

It seems unfair to claim that a player is entering his final season with the team when he was just traded this past offseason and still has two years remaining on his contract. However, it's his contract that makes his future status so easy to predict.

The Steelers traded for Allen Robinson despite having $5 million in guarantees left on the deal he signed with the Rams -- one Los Angeles was desperate to get out of. Robinson has been hampered by injuries over the past two seasons and has struggled as a result.

But even if the veteran turns things around in a big way in Pittsburgh, his chances of sticking around beyond the 2023 season are slim to none. Robinson's cap hit soars up to over $11.9 million for the 2024 season, per Over the Cap, and the Steelers could instantly save $10 million by releasing him next offseason.

That cap number is way too unreasonable for a receiver that will be 31 years old during the 2024 season and who has struggled to stay healthy, and it's too much to dish out to a WR3 at best. The Steelers still have Calvin Austin III who could carve out some sort of role in 2023 and they may look to draft a receiver early in 2024. There's no chance they keep Allen Robinson around at his cap number past the 2023 season.
