No NFL team is immune to handing out bad contracts. Even when it might look like the organization is making the right decision, occasionally, they agree to deals that ultimately prove to be money they wish they would have spent elsewhere. Sometimes, teams are willing to overpay just to keep a player around and avoid a gaping hole on the roster. This has been the case with the Pittsburgh Steelers in recent years.
There are some contracts on the team that will soon look like steals. Despite making T.J. Watt and Minkah Fitzpatrick the highest-paid players in the league at their respective positions at the time they signed their extensions, they will soon be leapfrogged by lesser players.
