1. Diontae Johnson: 2 years, $36.71 million

There is an array of opinions when it comes to wide receiver, Diontae Johnson. Part of the Pittsburgh Steelers fanbase believes that he has been overrated based on the opportunities he had, while others would still argue that the veteran receiver is underrated and gets too much criticism.

I'll be the first person to say that Diontae's ability to create separation between himself and the defender is a valuable trait, but it's hard to argue that he has been worth the money so far. In fact, you could make the case that he has been flat-out detrimental to the team for the past year and a half.

After a brilliant 10-game stretch to begin the 2021 season, Johnson has hit a slump that he can't seem to climb out of. In 2022, he was arguably the least efficient starting receiver in the league -- earning 882 yards and 0 touchdowns on a whopping 147 targets.

At over $18 million per season, you would expect much more consistency and efficiency from a wide receiver. I'm not giving up all hope that he can turn things around, but he was barely worth throwing the ball to in 2022. He needs to show significant improvement this year, or this could look like the worst contract on the team.
