5. Xavier Legette, NFL Draft

After four seasons at South Carolina, Xavier Legette seemingly came out of nowhere in year five for a phenomenal breakout campaign that included 71 receptions, 1,255 yards, and 7 touchdowns with quarterback Spencer Rattler in 2023.

This performance put Legette on the map... and he's hard not to notice. At 6'1'' and 221 pounds, Legette has a chiseled frame and his strength shows up on film. Legette can drive cornerbacks down the field as a blocker or box them out to catch the ball at its highest point.

Though his late start and poor breakout age are a bit concerning, the potential payout is enormous. Legette has traits that profile as a future WR1 in the NFL thanks to an incredible frame and astonishing athletic traits. At the NFL Combine, his 40-yard dash clocked in at 4.39 seconds and he posted a 40-inch vertical jump.

Legette also feels like the perfect receiver for Arthur Smith's offense, and he shares some similarities with Smith's former top pass-catcher with the Tennessee Titans, A.J. Brown. The good thing about this potential Dionate Johnson replacement is that the Steelers could wait and draft Legette on Day 2 of the NFL Draft -- allowing them to go in a different direction with their top draft choice.

This one-year-wonder doesn't come without risk, but it's easy to see how Xavier Legette would fit right in with what the Steelers want to do on offense in 2024.
