2. Montravius Adams could lose his job to Keeanu Benton

Montravius Adams had the look of a player who was already on his way out, but Pittsburgh's offseason additions certainly won't help his chances of carving out a role or even sticking around, for that matter. After supplanting Tyson Alualu as the team's primary nose tackle, Adams had a chance to prove himself. Instead, he struggled to hold up at the point of attack.

This resulted in Adams grading out as the 105th-best interior defender among 127 NFL players during the 2022 season, according to Pro Football Focus. The former third-round pick by the Packers back in 2017 has bounced around a bit but had a chance to make his bed in Pittsburgh.

Unfortunately for him, the Steelers signed Breiden Fehoko in free agency and drafted Keeanu Benton with the 49th overall pick this year. Benton is the player expected to see the biggest role at nose tackle this season, but Adams is suddenly flooded with competition.

After Adams and Tyson Alualu both had roles last season, they could be pushed off the roster entirely thanks to the additions Pittsburgh made to the interior defensive line during the offseason. His tenure as the starting nose tackle in the Steel City could be very short-lived.
