5 biggest games Steelers fans must circle on the 2023 NFL schedule

Week 8: Jaguars vs Steelers, Sunday, October 29th at 1 P.M.

A lot of things could change between now and this matchup. This could be the battle of the two up-and-coming young AFC clubs that could take the next step this season. The Jacksonville Jaguars barely made it to the post-season last year, but they made some noise when they got to the dance. They overcame the LA Chargers in the wild-card round before getting the boot a week later.

Trevor Lawrence started to emerge as a top young quarterback in this league, but he still has a long way to go before he reaches another level. Doug Pederson has gotten this group to believe in what he is preaching and that is paying off. There are still some weak spots on the Jaguars, but they are turning a corner and should be the best team in the AFC South this year.

Pittsburgh will play host to this game as the Jaguars try to come and upset the home crowd. There has been an issue with the Steelers beating Jacksonville in years past so that boogeyman could come back to haunt them.

These two could be seen as similar in some aspects with two rising quarterbacks that will try to take the next step in their respective careers.
