The Steelers find themselves at the top of the division standings going into Week 4
It was another nail bitter for the fans of the black and gold last week after a commanding lead going into the fourth quarter. It was a win nonetheless, and the offense started to show signs of going in the right direction. Kenny Pickett started to look calmer, and the defense was able to do enough by applying pressure and forcing turnovers to win the game.
They might have gotten destroyed against the 49ers in week one, but that seems like almost a decade ago at this point. They have started to turn things around slowly but surely, and that trend should be able to continue. They are currently tied for the top spot in the AFC North division, and it is going to be difficult to stay there.
Up next are the Houston Texans on the road, which poses as another winnable opportunity for Pittsburgh. They will be going up against a weaker interior offensive line and a rookie quarterback with plenty of young and inexperienced receivers. They should be able to handle that on defense and the offensive matchup for the Steelers should be positive too.
They will go up against a suspect secondary and a defensive line that has struggled to stop the run in the past. Pickett should be able to lean on the run game more and allow for some play action passes for chunk plays down the field. It is not going to be a cake walk for the Steelers as their games rarely are. They should be able to win and move on to the following week with an extended winning record.
