The Pittsburgh Steelers earned remarkable draft grades from some of the nation's top draft analysts, and it's not hard to see why. Starting with their very first pick, Omar Khan was able to find talented players at valuable positions where the value always seemed to line up with the need.

Now comes the fun part. Over the next several weeks, I'll be doing a deep dive into the tape of each Steelers draftee and predicting their fit with the team. But now that the 2023 NFL Draft has concluded, fans are already curious about which players from Pittsburgh's draft class (as well as potential undrafted free agents) could make the final roster in 2023. Here is my early Steelers 53-man roster prediction following the draft:

Quarterbacks (3):

Steelers roster prediction: Kenny Pickett, Mitch Trubisky, Free Agent

The top two names are incredibly easy to figure out here. Kenny Pickett is expected to take a step forward in year two, while Mitch Trubisky now confidently knows that his role is as a backup and mentor to Pickett.

The third-string quarterback is very hard to predict at this point in time. While the Steelers did add former Minnesota QB Tanner Morgan as an undrafted free agent shortly after the NFL Draft, Morgan lacks NFL size, athleticism, and overall traits.

Morgan seems much more like a camp body than a quarterback on a 53-man roster. I won't rule him out as the option, but I think it's much more likely the team looks to add a free agent to round out their roster. This might not even come until later in the summer.
