Wide receivers (6):

Steelers roster prediction: George Pickens, Diontae Johnson, Allen Robinson, Calvin Austin III, Miles Boykin, Gunner Olszewski

Wide receiver is a tough position to nail down for the Pittsburgh Steelers at the moment. We know that players like George Pickens, Diontae Johnson, and Allen Robinson will have roles on the team in 2023. After that, it starts to get a little dicey.

Calvin Austin III is a player who should crack the squad this year, but he needs to prove that he can stay healthy. If he does, the Steelers could see what they have in the sub-5'8'' receiver. I also believe that Miles Boykin was no doubt brought back thanks to his ability to play special teams. He should fill the same role we saw from him last year.

That leaves just one helmet for the final two receivers to fight over. Anthony Miller and Gunner Olszewski both want to carve out a role, but I can't see a scenario where both players make the team this season.

Miller is clearly the better receiving option of the two, but players near the bottom of the roster need to be able to play special teams. I have Pittsburgh going with Olszewski once again thanks to his special teams ability. With Robinson and Austin already in line for slot duties and with the Steelers likely to play a bunch of '12' personnel, Miller may be the odd man out.
