Defensive line (7):

Steelers roster prediction: Cameron Heyward, Larry Ogunjobi, Keeanu Benton, DeMarvin Leal, Breiden Fehoko, Isaiahh Loudermilk, Armon Watts

Last year was a very low point for the Pittsburgh Steelers interior defensive line. With Larry Ogunjobi often banged up and nobody stepping up to the plate, it felt like Cameron Heyward didn't have any help inside.

This year should look a bit different. In addition to Heyward and Ogunjobi assuming starting roles on the interior defensive line, rookie Keeanu Benton should be able to get into the DL rotation early in his career. Likewise, DeMarvin Leal -- who wound up on IR for much of the 2022 season -- will compete for playing time.

After these four, nobody on the interior defensive line is completely safe. The Steelers signed two veterans this offseason in Breiden Fehoko and Armon Watts. My guess is that both players crack the roster and work in a part-time rotation.

Isaiahh Loudermilk is not as safe as fans would like to believe, as he just hasn't shown a ton of improvement. However, I do have him claiming one of the final DL spots thanks to his frame and ability to play '5-tech' and '4i'. This means that Montravius Adams is the odd man out. The Steelers save a few million with his departure.
