Steelers target from Broncos: TE Albert Okwuegbunam

This is the first player on this list that would truly be a luxury, Albert Okwuegbunam is the classic case of an intriguing athlete that hasn’t put everything together. Last year was supposed to be his breakout season with Noah Fant traded and Russell Wilson aboard the team. As we all know, the Broncos offense was abysmal last year.

Okwuegbunam lost his job to rookie Greg Dulcich and now has some talented names behind him. While a player of his size and speed could break out at any moment, he doesn’t seem long for this roster.

The Steelers tight end room is a strength on this team, but Okwuegbunam gives the team a different body type to work with. He would serve as a potential receiving threat and third tight end in a deep group.

If he were to be made available, the Steelers would be wise to at least consider him. It would likely spell the end of Zach Gentry’s tenure with the team. He is redundant though as a blocker as opposed to Okwuegbunam who could be a receiving threat. Again, this is one of the more unlikely names on this list, but Okwuegbunam would be an interesting addition.
