The Pittsburgh Steelers will have a chance to reshape their roster with several strong selections in the 2023 NFL Draft. Omar Khan's team owns three picks inside the top 50 this year (including pick 32 which was acquired from the Bears in the Chase Claypool trade just before the 2022 trade deadline).

This is certainly some respectable capital for Khan to work with in his first NFL Draft as general manager of the Steelers. For two decades, Khan worked with Colbert but now it's his turn to take over the reigns. While Khan himself admitted that he will mostly reflect Colbert in his style, some surprises could be expected with the changes in the front office.

From Thursday to Saturday, all other professional sports will take a backseat to the biggest offseason event in the National Football League. All the while, we will be keeping tabs on every rumor that pops up for the Pittsburgh Steelers from now until the conclusion of the 2023 NFL Draft.

Pittsburgh Steelers Draft Rumors Live Tracker 2023:

4/17 - Jalen Carter connected to Steelers

On April 17th, Peter King of NBC Sports said that there is no better fit in the draft this year than Jalen Carter for the Steelers. Reporter Dov Kleiman interpreted this as the Steelers are looking to trade up from pick 17 to pick 9 if Carter slides this far in the draft. Based on the interests during the pre-draft process, this one seems like a stretch.

4/24 - Steelers rumored to be seriously considering trade up for OT

On April 24th, ESPN's Todd McShay confirmed that the Pittsburgh Steelers have spoken with teams like the Bears (pick 9) and the Titans (pick 11) about what it would take to move up. This is believed to be for an offensive tackle -- either Paris Johnson Jr. or Broderick Jones. The Steelers have shown a tremendous amount of interest in both players throughout the pre-draft process.

4/25 - Steelers rumored to be highly interested in TE Darnell Washington

Based on comments from Mike Tomlin and Omar Khan during the Steelers pre-draft press conference, some in the media believed Pittsburgh's brain trust was dropping some major hints about their interest in Georgia tight end, Darnell Washington. The Steelers met with several tight ends during the pre-draft process, but Washington was the only TE who received a pro day visit from Pittsburgh's brass in addition to a 30-visit.

4/26 - Steelers rumored to not like Joey Porter Jr. at pick 17

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler appeared on 93.7 The Fan where he shared some insight regarding Pittsburgh's thoughts on Joey Porter Jr. According to Fowler, Mike Tomlin views him as more of a late-first-round prospect, and the team may not be willing to take him at pick 17.
