4. Montravius Adams, DL

This season, the Steelers' run defense has been one of the weak links to that unit. They have had a tough time as of late, too. Just recently, the Steelers gave up 170 yards on the ground to the Colts. Is it any coincidence that defensive lineman Montravius Adams had his worst run defense grade of the season from Pro Football Focus in that one?

If you look back at Adams' second and third-worst performances on the year, against the run, they were against the Baltimore Ravens and Houston Texans earlier in the season. In those games, the Steelers gave up 264 yards on the ground, combined.

There should be no surprise that a lot of these big games given up, on the ground, have come in some of the worst performances of the year from Adams. At 29 years old, Adams seems to be on the decline. The Steelers should be looking for younger, additional depth up front in the next year's draft, to pair with Cameron Hayward and a guy like Keanu Benton, who has been phenomenal this season.

The Steelers clearly need to add to this defense in the coming offseason, if they are to get back to being a contender.
