5. Kirk Cousins, QB
Finally, we come to that most important position in football. We should all know by now that Kenny Pickett is not the guy in Pittsburgh; not anymore, at least. Pickett should not be the starting quarterback for this Steelers team in 2024. Heck, he's not even going to be the starter this weekend.
If the Steelers can convince Kirk Cousins to sign, this team automatically becomes a Super Bowl contender. Then, some of the other names on this list might become realistic, if the money side of things could be worked out.
Cousins is coming off a torn Achilles suffered earlier this season, so he'd have to be ready to go for Week 1. That's a big question mark. But, if he's in a good place in March, Pittsburgh should enter the conversation.
This is a quarterback that's thrown for over 4,000 yards in seven different seasons and could have done it once more this season if he hadn't gotten hurt. The Vikings should be pushing hard to re-sign Cousins in the offseason, but they could also opt to go a different direction with other financial decisions coming up.
