Target No. 2: Kirk Cousins, 2024 Free Agent

Maybe the most realistic target for the Steelers, next offseason, is Kirk Cousins, who is set to be a free agent after this season. Now, at this point, Cousins is recovering from an Achilles tear he suffered earlier in the year. So, he would need to be ready for the start of the 2024 season for this to work out the way we'd want it to.

But, if the Steelers were able to sign a healthy Cousins (healthy by Week 1 of 2024, of course) then they would be in position to reclaim the AFC North crown. Cousins is a 4,000-yard passing machine. He's done it seven times and was well on pace to do it an eighth time this year before going down.

At 35 years old, Cousins will want to go to a contender. He has been toward the top of the league in passing yards for the majority of his career. He throws touchdowns. This guy simply doesn't get enough credit, with critics focusing on some of the costly turnovers or prime time mishaps.

The truth of the matter is, though, that Cousins is a phenomenal quarterback. If the Steelers landed him, just go ahead and pencil them in for a division title in 2024.
