Target No. 3: Jayden Daniels, LSU, 2024 NFL Draft

While the top two quarterbacks in this upcoming draft class seem to be locked and loaded, it's LSU's Jayden Daniels that I think will soar up draft boards like many typically do each year. The hype should be obvious after Daniels took home the Heisman Trophy this season, but this was really his first breakout year.

Before the 2023 season, Daniels looked fine, but not nearly as good as he was this season. Maybe that's why some teams are hesitant on placing him toward the top of their board, overall.

But, many people had their qualms with Lamar Jackson a few years back. They didn't know if he was cut out for the league. They weren't sure if he was just an electric playmaker in college or if he'd translate to the NFL. Sure enough, there are many general managers kicking themselves right now.

For the Steelers to have an opportunity to select a guy who played in the toughest conference in college football and totaled nearly 5,000 yards from scrimmage and a total of 50 touchdowns this season? That's too good to pass up. Daniels has a ridiculously high ceiling, and Pittsburgh should take the chance of going all-in on this dual-threat.
