Chris Boswell could be earn Second-Team All-Pro honors

It's crazy to think about how much better kickers are today than they were just 20 years ago. If Chris Boswell was kicking this well back then, he might have been on a Hall of Fame track (assuming he plays long enough). That won't be the case for 'The Wizard of Boz' though as there are plenty of other kickers having excellent careers right now.

But after earning just one Pro Bowl (which came all the way back in 2017), Boswell will have a chance to earn All-Pro honors for the first time ever in his NFL career. While the points haven't been plentiful thanks to a pitiful offense in Pittsburgh this year, Boswell has been on the money when called upon.

The Steelers kicker has missed just two kicks and one extra point attempt on the season. His lone miss in his first 11 games of the season came on a 61-yard attempt -- a kick that he nailed from 56 yards before a penalty by Pittsburgh backed the ball up five more yards.

The competition is really stiff this year. Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey is a perfect 100 percent on the year, while five others are converting their field goal attempts at a rate of 95 percent or above. It's unlikely Boswell will ultimately earn All-Pro honors for his performance in 2023, but his impressive season is certainly worth mentioning.
