Ranking the 5 most important games of the Steelers 2023 schedule

2. Steelers @ Baltimore Ravens, Week 18
Some people may be surprised that this game didn't land at number one on the list. It was close, but I felt there was one more game that was slightly more important for the Steelers this season. However, that doesn't downplay the significance of this game and rivalry.
Steelers versus Ravens is the best rivalry in all of professional sports. These two teams and their fanbases don't like each other and that manifests itself in each and every matchup between them. A game between the Steelers and Ravens is important in its own right, even if it doesn't affect the standings or playoff race. But, I think this particular game will be big in the division race.
The Ravens signed Lamar Jackson to an extension a few weeks ago and brought in Odell Beckham Jr. to bolster a weak receiving room. Their defense is always top-notch and will provide a great challenge for the Steelers offense and Matt Canada. Division games are always super important for the Steelers, but the road matchup with the Ravens this season could very well determine which one of these two teams makes the playoffs.
One more note: The Steelers have won three straight road games against the Ravens entering this season, which is their longest road winning streak against the Ravens since they won six in a row in Baltimore between 1997 and 2002.
