3. Steelers and Panthers could help each other out during Carolina's rebuild

The Carolina Panthers traded up to the number one overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft in hopes of finding their quarterback. However, even if Bryce Young turns it around and proves to be the answer, this team is still years away from competing.

The Panthers are currently the worst team in the league at 0-6, and this team is desperate for more talent across the board. Adding draft capital to a young team looking to rebuild is exactly what their front office should be seeking ahead of the NFL trade deadline.

Former first-round cornerback Jaycee Horn is currently on IR with a hamstring injury, but if he's elevated, he would make a ton of sense for the Steelers. Horn has a lengthy injury history, but he's good when healthy, and we know that Pittsburgh could use another cornerback across from Joey Porter Jr. for the foreseeable future.

Perhaps their most intriguing asset is defensive tackle, Derrick Brown. At 6'5'' and 320 pounds, the 25-year-old is one of the best run defenders in the NFL. Pairing him with a young Keeanu Benton could set the Steelers up for the future along the interior defensive line. Carolina wouldn't part with these players for cheap, but they could certainly give this Steelers team a spark.
