2. Steelers could show draft interest in Derick Hall on day two

One thing that has become increasingly evident for the black and gold is the lack of depth at the outside linebacker position. T.J. Watt has struggled to stay healthy throughout his career, and that issue could get worse as his age goes up. Alex Highsmith had a great season in 2022, but those behind them are unproven and questionable in a starting role.

Right now, it is hard to decipher how the Steelers will attack the need at the edge rusher position as we sit here today. They could always look at free agency and see what kind of proven veteran they could add for cheap. Pittsburgh could always alternate their view on the matter and wait around for the draft to get a developmental piece to play a role behind the starters.

Derick Hall should be someone that fans of the Steelers get to know well leading up to the draft. He fits the mold for everything that this organization looks for at the outside linebacker position since Mike Tomlin took over. Expect Hall to have a good pre-draft process and could be an option for Pittsburgh in the second round if they do not address this need in free agency. He would be a great talent that could start if Watt or Highsmith got injured for any amount of time.
