Steelers 2024 preseason schedule: full list of games
By Tommy Jaggi
Football is here, and the energy is about to ramp up during the NFL preseason. As teams attempt to prepare for a grueling eighteen-week regular season, 90 players from the Pittsburgh Steelers roster will be battle-tested in the 2024 preseason.
Since moving to a seventeen-game schedule in 2021, the NFL and NFLPA agreed to reduce each team's preseason performances by one game. Every team except those who already played in the Hall of Fame game will play just three exhibition contents before going out in Week 1 of the regular season.
In the preseason, there aren't necessarily easy or hard opponents, and like the long-running popular improv show, Whose Line Is It Anyway, the points don't matter. Rather, Pittsburgh's coaching staff will be looking to evaluate individual performances as they prepare to make difficult roster cuts before the start of the season.
For those hoping to catch all of the Steelers' preseason action on TV, here's a look at Pittsburgh's full 2024 preseason schedule.

What to watch for during Steelers preseason 2024
There will be no shortage of players and performances for fans to keep their eye on during the Steelers' 2024 preseason. The quarterback position offers the biggest questions. Fans will want to see how much Russell Wilson sees the field and if Justin Fields can perform well enough to sway Mike Tomlin and the coaching staff before the start of the season.
Additionally, fans will be looking to see which wide receiver can step up and be a serviceable option for Pittsburgh alongside George Pickens this year. Keep an eye on the performance of young draft picks as well. Players like DB Ryan Watts and DL Logan Lee will be fighting for roster spots in 2024, while high draft picks like OT Troy Fautanu and C Zach Frazier will be out to prove why they should see the field early in their rookie season.
Steelers fans will also have their eye on the depth at each position if and when Pittsburgh experiences injuries this year. Meanwhile, Cornerback Cory Trice Jr. will return to the field to make his preseason debut. Trice and dozens of young Steelers will be fighting for roster spots this year.
