Special Teams – (3)

Kick Returner - Calvin Austin and/or Gunnar Olszewski

Punt Returner - Calvin Austin and/or Gunnar Olszewski

Austin may win the return competition but it’s always better to have a fallback, just in case. The Steelers may decide to have one return man for punts and another for kickoffs.  They also may start to think Calvin Austin is too valuable to risk in the return game.

Placekicker – (1) - Chris Boswell

The Steelers signed B.T. Potter as a camp leg and he had a good against the Bucs but the Wizard of Boz is a lock.

Punter – (1) – Pressley Harvin

The Steelers signed veteran Braden Mann to challenge for the punting job. Pressley Harvin has been fending him off, so we’ll have to see if he’ll remain consistent in 2023. I've read Braden Mann has been getting trade attention. It'd be great if the Steelers could make this happen.

Long Snapper – (1) - Christian Kuntz

You know, I’ve always wondered why long snapper is a position. Why couldn’t this job be handled by the backup center? Anyway, It’ll be Kuntz.

In Conclusion:

I’ve been reluctant to get on the Steelers hype train but I’ve finally bought my ticket. Though they’ve been notoriously slow starters once the regular season begins there’s a chance they might continue the preseason momentum into games that count. No matter what, the NFL ‘pundits’ have been sleeping on the Steelers and they’re going to surprise a lot of people.
