There's a new face at Steelers OTAs. As the second wave of organized team activities kicked off on May 30th, Markus Golden was on hand. The veteran pass rusher and former second-round pick has found tremendous success since entering the league back in 2015. Nearly all of this success has come as a member of the Arizona Cardinals.

Over the past two seasons, Golden spent a lot of time around three-time Defensive Player of the Year and future Hall of Famer, J.J. Watt. Now, for the final stretch of his NFL journey, Golden is excited about the opportunity to play with T.J. Watt. Here's what he had to say, via Brooke Pryor:

""T.J. [Watt], man, great dude. I've been able to talk to him and catch up. As soon as I walked in, he showed me some love and told me some stories J.J. [Watt] told him. So it feels good to be here with him. I know he's a great player just like his brother. I'm excited to be able to come in and ball with him and to be able to say I played with both Watt brothers, man." "

It's not often that a player goes from playing alongside a Defensive Player of the Year to playing alongside his DPOY brother after he switches teams. But that's exactly what Golden gets the privilege of doing.

Golden is thrilled to be in Pittsburgh, and he is ready and willing to do whatever is asked of him. This will be an interesting transition for a player who has played a ton of snaps in the past. With Watt and Alex Highsmith in town, Golden will no doubt have a reduced role on his new team, barring an injury, but he's okay with that.

Golden claims that he's always been a Steelers fan and that he loves the way they do things. He also mentioned their rich history of linebackers who love flying around the football and making plays. Golden hopes to contribute like some of the players he grew up watching.

Tuesday marked Golden's first practice with his new team. He could be seen wearing a 'number 54' yellow practice jersey to kick off the second wave of Steelers OTAs. It's unclear exactly what Golden's role will be in Pittsburgh, but he's no doubt going to be the first outside linebacker off the bench in some sort of rotation with Watt and Alex Highsmith.

Going from playing with one elite NFL brother to the next makes for a scenario that very few have had the privilige of doing. I'm sure Markus Golden will be asked many times about the similarities between T.J. and J.J. Watt. Regardless, he certainly seems thrilled to have the opportunity to play alongside T.J. for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
