If you chose to skip out on Day 2 of the 2023 NFL Draft in favor of spending your Friday night doing something else, let me be the first to say that you missed out. With three selections on Day 2, it promised to be an exciting night for Pittsburgh Steelers fans. Needless to say, Omar Khan and Andy Weidl did not let us down.

Pittsburgh absolutely stole the show on Friday night with some outstanding value with some of their selections. The latest Steelers news involves a recap of Pittsburgh's selections and some phenomenal draft grades.

Steelers news:

After trading up from pick 17 to pick 14 on Day 1 and securing Georgia offensive tackle, Broderick Jones, the excitement on Friday night was somehow amplified. Pittsburgh kicked things off with a bang -- taking Joey Porter Jr. with the 32nd overall pick. They followed this selection up with Wisconsin DT Keeanu Benton at pick 49 in the second round.

However, the steal of the draft so far would come in Round 3. After originally owning the 80th overall pick, the Pittsburgh Steelers traded back with the Carolina Panthers for pick 93 and pick 132. With the 93rd overall pick, Khan selected Georgia tight end, Darnell Washington. Both the Porter Jr. and Washington selections were deemed outstanding value picks for Pittsburgh by numerous draft experts.

More Steelers news:

Immediately following the draft, Bleacher Report handed out their grades for each selection. While they liked a lot of decisions that were made on Day 2 of the 2023 NFL Draft, nobody was more impressive than the Steelers, according to Brent Sobleski of B/R.

Bleacher Report gave the Joey Porter Jr. selection an 'A+.' This was followed up with an 'A' for the Keeanu Benton pick and another 'A+' for the Darnell Washington selection. I think most fans would agree. On paper, it has been a phenomenal draft so far for the Steelers.
