Free agency additions oftentimes mean that there will be too many players and not enough hats to go around at certain positions. In the past, this has been the case. When the Pittsburgh Steelers were very deep along the defensive interior, players like Isaiah Buggs, Henry Mondeaux, and Carlos Davis were each forced to find new homes.

Now some of the players who stuck around on the roster last year could either be demoted or out of a job completely. Here are four players who are in jeopardy of losing their jobs after Pittsburgh's recent free agency burst.

4. Kendrick Green will be kicked off the Steelers roster

This one seems pretty easy to predict at this point in time. Kendrick Green was already hanging onto his roster spot by a thread last season, and if we're being quite honest with ourselves, he probably would have been cut last September if he wasn't a former third-round pick.

It's clear at this point that the Steelers made a big mistake drafting Green as he simply doesn't have the size or anchoring strength to hold up at the guard position in the NFL. This is why I said repeatedly that if he doesn't work out at center, he wouldn't work out at all.

Already on thin ice with the team, things looked much grimmer for Green after the Steelers signed a pair of guards in free agency with Nate Herbig and Isaac Seumalo. There's no question that both of these players are making the roster. Barring multiple injuries to the IOL or another draft investment, Kendrick Green will get the boot before rosters are finalized in 2023.
