If you thought the Brandon Aiyuk trade talk to the Pittsburgh Steelers was hot before, you haven't seen anything yet. It seemed like the buzz had finally died down on Aiyuk trade talks as teams were in the thick of training camp.

Then, just like that, there is reason to believe that Aiyuk could finally be on the move.

Adam Schefter spoke on The Pat McAfee Show about a possible Aiyuk trade on August 5. Later, Andrew Fillipponi of 93.7 The Fan claimed that the Steelers were in the closing stages of a trade for the star receiver.

That's when Steelers fans started to lose their minds on social media.

Aiyuk posted a video of himself on Instagram leaving San Francisco in an airplane.

On the same day, a fan in Pittsburgh snapped a picture of a man he believed to be Brandon Aiyuk walking around North Shore, heading toward Acrisure stadium. There is no confirmation that the person in the photo is Aiyuk or that he's in Pittsburgh.

Of course, Aiyuk could be toying with Steelers fans by using the black and yellow heart emojis. But there are so many questions that need to be asked and answered.

Why was Aiyuk sitting out of training camp? Why was he leaving California on an airplane? Is he in the process of being traded?

All along, the Pittsburgh Steelers have been a frontrunner in the Aiyuk trade saga. That has never changed. The fact that Omar Khan admitted to calling the 49ers and asking about the availability of their star receivers during the 2024 NFL Draft shows that he's not afraid to make a blockbuster move.

While the 49ers don't have much incentive to trade away their star receiver, there are whispers that Aiyuk would be willing to sit out games if he's not traded. Meanwhile, the Steelers already had an issue at wide receiver before Roman Wilson was sidelined with an ankle injury.

Numerous reputable sources have been dropping hints that the Pittsburgh Steelers are in the final stages of a Brandon Aiyuk trade, and there seems to be more truth to this than ever. Get your popcorn ready!
