Omar Khan is cooking again; at least that's what one NFL analyst thinks. Just days after the 2024 NFL Draft concluded, former Steelers defensive back and current media personality for CBS Sports, Bryant McFadden, believes that Pittsburgh has a trade in the works.

McFadden claims the team is 'close to landing a significant playmaker.' He closed his 'X' post with the hashtag, "StayTuned".

McFadden teased Steelers fans with this social media post, but he would not hint at what player he believes Pittsburgh is looking to add to their roster. Based on the language used, we can assume that McFadden is talking about a trade for a talented wide receiver.

Which WR could Steelers trade for?

When the post dropped, many assumed that this tweet was in reference to Broncos wide-out, Courtland Sutton. Antonio Brown then tweeted from his CTESPNNetwork acount on X that you 'can't have two WRs with the same number' (Sutton wears No. 14 for Denver -- the same as George Pickens).

Other names who are speculated to be in the mix are Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk. The Steelers reportedly gauged the asking price for Samuel during the NFL Draft before selecting West Virginia center Zach Frazier in the second round.

No new information about this report has been leaked, but based on the social media post from McFadden, if the Steelers were to make a trade for a 'significant playmaker' we would expect it to happen soon.

Since the beginning of the offseason, the Steelers have been linked in trade talks that ramped up after trading starting WR Diontae Johnson to the Carolina Panthers.

George Pickens is expected to be the WR1 in Pittsburgh this season after an impressive second season in 2023, and the Steelers added Michigan's Roman Wilson in the third round (pick 84) of the 2024 NFL Draft.

Still, Omar Khan and Mike Tomlin might not be satisfied at the wide receiver position. Currently, veteran Van Jefferson is pegged as the starter opposite Pickens, while the depth at the position includes inconsistent players like Calvin Austin III and Quez Watkins.

There have been too many Steelers rumors linking them to a wide receiver trade to ignore Bryant McFadden's report. We'll see if something becomes of this soon.
