Steelers vs. Falcons prediction and odds for NFL preseason Week 3

The Pittsburgh Steelers have looked very sharp in the preseason so far and will have their final test on the road in Atlanta on Thursday night.

It would be very hard to look better than the Pittsburgh Steelers have in preseason play. Through two weeks they have been nearly perfect, beating both the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Buffalo Bills. Now, they’ll hit the road for a matchup against the Atlanta Falcons.

The Falcons and Desmond Ridder, haven’t looked quite as sharp as the Steelers and Kenny Pickett. Atlanta tied the Bengals 13-13 last week and is 1-0-1 in the preseason.

Mike Tomlin has said he’ll be playing his starters so it’s no surprise that the Steelers are favored.

Steelers vs. Falcons prediction and pick

How could you possibly need to see more from the Pittsburgh offense and Kenny Pickett this preseason. Pickett has looked incredibly poised and has orchestrated three touchdown drives in his three series on the field.

You can see the confidence that Pickett has by watching how settled his feet are in the pocket after looking overly bouncy and flighty last season. However, this preseason he looks like a veteran franchise QB.

Mike Tomlin still wants to see more from his first team offense and said that all healthy players are expected to play.

The Steelers have a deep stable of quarterbacks as well, there aren’t many teams in the NFL that have three QBs that have all made multiple NFL starts, so that’s another reason that the Steelers have been a valuable bet in the preseason.

Pittsburgh’s roster is very deep and Omar Khan’s first draft class has looked incredible, adding to the depth around the Steelers roster, making me bullish on the team's prospects of winning and covering its third straight game.

Atlanta has held their opponents to just 16 total points over two preseason games, but they have yet to face any starting quarterback for even a single snap. Give me the Steelers.
